Membership and How to Join

You are very welcome to join Martock & District u3a to make the most of your time and learn, make friends and enjoy our interest groups, monthly meetings and outings. 
Joining is easy. 

Membership Price List

Annual membership = £17

Joint Membership = £30

Avalon Membership (member of Crewkerne, Chard & Ilminster, Somerton, Street & Glastonbury or Camelot u3a) = £0

Associate Membership = £13 if you are a full member of a non-Avalon u3a

If you would like a paper copy of the monthly Newsletter there is an additional cost of £7.

Fees include a £4.00 membership fee paid to the Third Age Trust, our National Organisation which provides a wide range of services and benefits including liability insurance cover. *Applicants holding membership of another U3A are eligible for a reduction of £4.00 on provision of proof of that membership. Terms and Conditions of Membership(Required)
Expectation of Members: Abide by the Principles of the U3A movement (further down this form). Always act in the best interests of the U3A and never do anything to bring the U3A into disrepute. Abide by the terms and conditions of the Constitution. Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times. Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee. Advise the committee of any change in your personal details. Abide by the Member Code of Conduct. I/We apply for membership of Martock & District U3A and confirm that I/We will abide by the Terms of Membership as stated above. I/We will make full payment of fees due.

Martock & District U3A processes member information so that we can keep you informed about events, groups and activities as part of your membership. Martock & District U3A’s lawful basis for collecting this information is legitimate interest/contract. To encourage and enable older people no longer in full-time paid employment to help each other to share their knowledge, skills, interests and experience. To demonstrate the benefits and enjoyment to be gained and the new horizons to be discovered in learning throughout life. To celebrate the capabilities and potential of older people and their value to society. To make U3As accessible to all older people. To encourage the establishment of U3As in every part of the country where conditions are suitable and to support and collaborate with them. New Member Online Payment

Please complete the Membership Application Form above and submit, and also make a bank transfer for the appropriate amount (bank details below).

New Member Offline

Please download, fill in and print a copy of the Membership Application Form and send your completed form with a cheque to the Membership Secretary (address below) or bring to a monthly meeting. Please do not pay cash unless necessary.

Existing Membership Online Renewal

If your membership details have not changed, simply reply to the renewal reminder email you have received from the Membership Secretary that you wish to renew, and make a payment by BACS including your name in the payment details.

Renewal Online if details have changed. Please complete the Membership Application Form above and select the ‘Member Renewal’ option at the top of the form.

Existing Membership Renewal Offline:
